Become a Part of the Archer Family
If you’re interested in officially becoming a part of the Archer Church family, please speak with Pastor Robb. New members will be welcomed into our fellowship during an upcoming service this spring.
Share Your Talents!
Archer needs volunteers to share their musical talents. If you play an instrument or sing or belong to a musical group, please consider sharing your talent(s). Contact the music director, Donna Dangler, and let her know your ideas. We would love to have you!
Purchasing Altar Flowers
Members and friends of Archer Church are invited to purchase altar flowers in honor of or in memory of loved ones throughout the church year. Simply choose an open date on the Flower Calendar in the Narthex and sign up there, indicating if the flowers are in memory or in honor of someone specific. You may bring in the flowers on that Sunday morning, or contact Kathy Shoaf if you are unable to pick up the flowers yourself.
Sponsor an Anthem
The Archer Music Committee offers the congregation an opportunity to purchase new music for the church through the “Sponsor an Anthem” program. Do you have a favorite that you’ve heard elsewhere? Or perhaps you have a much loved family piece that you’d like the choir to sing? For a $40.00 donation, the music will be purchased in memory or in honor of a loved one, with that person’s name (as well as yours) being printed in the bulletin every time the anthem is sung. In addition, each copy of the music will be labeled. For more information, please speak with the chair of the committee, Don Landzettel.
Sign-Up to Serve this Spring!
Spring is here! Why not consider signing up to serve in some way for our Sunday morning worship and fellowship? There are several ways to get involved. You can provide for our refreshment time by bringing something sweet or savory to share along with coffee and/or juice. You can also serve as an usher either by yourself or with another person in the church. And if you don’t know how to do something, we’ll show you how! So simply sign-up for any of these ways to serve at the Information Table located in the narthex – thank you!
"Shopping Cart" Gift Cards
Do you want to know of an easy way to help support the church? All it takes is a quick stop in the back of the church on a Sunday morning to purchase supermarket gift cards. These cards can be used like cash in to purchase your weekly groceries at SHOPRITE, ACME, or STOP AND SHOP – and the best part is that the church gets a percentage of every sale! So why not give it a try – see Linda Keet-Tillinghast in the back of the church every Sunday :-)
Give UMC Market a Try!
If you shop on-line, it’s easy to help Archer fund ongoing programs through “UMC Market” – and as with the Shopping Cart grocery cards, it costs you nothing more. Simply sign up, select Archer in Allendale NJ as your designated church, and proceed to choose one of their many vendors to do your online shopping. Major stores include Best Buy, Home Depot, Kohl’s, and Macy’s. The video on the website explains it all. Go to https://umcmarket.org/engage/ to find out how you can sign up today!
Families with young children are invited to use our Community Room where the service is broadcast every Sunday of a large screen TV. If you need assistance, one of our ushers would be glad to help you.
